Marcus Chen came to AAF from the world of sustainable agriculture, where he spent a decade working with organic farming cooperatives across Southeast Asia and South America. His mission at AAF is to prove that luxury and sustainability are not only compatible — they are inseparable.
Under Marcus's leadership, AAF has achieved carbon-neutral production, sources 100% of its grain from regenerative farms, and has eliminated single-use plastics from its entire supply chain. The distillery's waste heat is captured to warm the aging warehouses, and spent botanicals are composted and returned to partner farms.
"True quality means caring about every link in the chain," Marcus explains. "From the soil that grows our grain to the hands that hold the finished glass — every step matters."
Marcus holds an MBA from INSEAD and sits on the advisory board of the Sustainable Spirits Foundation.
