Diplomático Ambassador

Diplomático Ambassador is the crown jewel of Venezuelan rum making. Distilled from sugar cane honey in traditional copper pot stills, then aged for up to twelve years in ex-bourbon barrels before a final two-year finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

The result is a rum of staggering richness and complexity. Deep mahogany in colour, the nose offers waves of dried fig, dark chocolate, PX sherry sweetness, and exotic spices. The palate is decadent — toffee, roasted coffee, orange marmalade, and cinnamon — yet never cloying. The finish is remarkably long and warming.
